The Plant Manager will provide both strategic financial and operational leadership as a key member of the Senior Management Team reporting to the CEO. This position supervises the Melting, Diecasting, Deburring, Machining/Post and Maintenance Departments. The Plant Manager will be a leader and a change agent in driving best practices in support of the organization's mission. The Plant Manager will have deep experience with operational best practices and up-to-date manufacturing experience of the auto-industry. The Plant Manager will measure progress against organizational goals and strategic plan, and be responsible for facilitating the delivery of KONEC's strategic goals through –
- Works closely with the sector president to establish the annual operating plan (AOP) key metrics and monitors the execution of the AOP.
- Directing the efforts of the team
- Planning and implementing KONEC's monthly goals and communication strategies and programs or projects.
- Contribute to the development of KONEC's strategic goals and objectives.
- Coordinating at strategic and tactical levels with other functions within KONEC's specification.
- Be accountable for implementing best practices in organization policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maximize efficiency.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all manufacturing operations within the business unit, achieve company goals for product quality, on-time delivery, effective inventory management, manufacturing profit and productivity.
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Development and oversight of processes designed to drive efficiency and productivity based on annual business objectives.
- Drive the operational performance and capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction, retention, and company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of operational initiatives.
- Ensuring all communication and production efforts are in line with KONEC's vision, mission, ambition and brand strategy.
- Lead/manage analytical projects, which includes data analysis and presenting findings/outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders.
- For Production Oversight, ensure efficient workflows, timely production schedules, and adherence to quality and safety protocols.
- Working cross-departmentally, applies strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to production and/or people management.
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment and communicates to management any safety hazards and issues.
- Drives safety consciousness amongst staff, encourages and empowers staff to drive safety initiatives related to manufacturing and warehouse areas.
- Lead processes and governance to assure that all related manufacturing requirements and goals for the finished goods are achieved at all levels.
Abilities/Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in aluminum diecasting & machining preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, 15+ years of automotive parts manufacturing experience.
- QC knowledge of NDT (Level 3), X-Ray, laboratory, Melting, Diecasting, Deburring.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing operational strategies to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
