Position Overview:
Reporting to the President of SW Hitech America Corp, the Program Assistant Manager is responsible for updating BOM’s once EO is approved and is the customer’s main point of contact for projects. The Program Manager clearly communicates project expectations to internal and external team members and is responsible for reporting project results.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Customers main POC for projects from initiation to closure

Oversee SOP open item list – discuss with customer and internal teams

Update BOM once engineering order is approved and released
-
Receive visual change design (VCD) or engineering change request (ECR) from customer and check for quotation and lead time from internal teams

Controls engineering change history and shares to internal teams
-
Manage customer pricing
-
Manage all US plant existing and new programs through development and launch

Liaison between US and Korean staff
Education and/or Experience
-
B.S. Degree in International Trade/Business or Engineering
-
5+ years of project management experience

SAP experience preferred
-
Bi-Lingual English/Korean due to communications between HQ and customers

Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict

Job Title: Materials Assistant Manager
Job description
- Supports the Materials Manager in collaborating w/internal departments & stakeholders to identify & maintain resources needed to establish/provide an effective supply chain.
- establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Develops & maintains detailed inventories of materials & supplies located in the company, at sites, & in the factory by supporting & supervising Material Planners.
- Supports Global Program Management Team & Development Team to manage design changes (ECR) initiated by customers.
- Creates & maintains very efficient logistic plans for maximizing cost savings.
- Maintains required quantity of supplies & materials to optimize production.
- Analyzes current inventories & procedures: suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain & profitability for the company.
- Supports the Material Manager in developing policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality & safety.
- identifies optimal shipment & transportation routes w/attention to consolidation of warehousing & distribution.
- Oversee daily workflow & schedules of Material Planners
- Accesses the need for material-handling equipment & staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, & storage of materials.
- participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Implement and maintain effective processes for contract negotiation and management.
- acts as part of a team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
- monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality & delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration w/ other departments
- Utilize ERP systems or similar systems to track and manage inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve materials flow and reduce waste.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead a team of materials professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- supports Material Manager in hiring and training departmental employees
- supports Material Manager in employee relation issues in accordance w/company policy
- performs other duties as assdigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Masters Degree preferred
- 3+yrs experience as supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position, preferably in Tier 1 automotive supplier
- Proven experience in materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and production planning.
- Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems such as MES, SAP
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to formulate business plans w/measurable desired outcomes, translates action plans into quantifiable and realistic goals w/ associated deadlines for self and others
- Bilingual English/Korean REQUIRED due to communications w/HQ and customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
