Front-End Engineer

The successful candidate will be involved in implementing new web-based & mobile applications, across a range of applications. They will also be assisting in determining the appropriate technology-mix to meet the demands of the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment of best practices at a cutting edge company, and quickly see ideas and hard work turned into products.

Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this role will be responsible for the following:
• Developing responsive web applications and hybrid mobile applications to a high standard
• Working alongside the product management and UX lead to help define realistic requirements
• Working alongside other teams to deliver a coherent front-end, this will involve pushing
forwards API and schema changes
• Working alongside the senior team to define and deliver a best practice front end solution
• Ensuring software compatibility across different browsers and platforms
• Keeping up to date with current front end technology trends

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic front-end developer who will have a strong understanding of mobile and web development technologies, they will be fastidious in making software that the customer loves to use. In this fast paced field they will also need to be continually striving to learn new skills, and eager to put forward their ideas.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• B.S. in Computer Science or at least 1 year of experience as a front end engineer
• Strong coding experience of JavaScript, with knowledge of how to structure large JavaScript applications
• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JQuery, ideally also experience with LESS or SASS, and
experience with CSS3 animations
• Experience styling for Responsive applications, ideally using Bootstrap
• Experience developing applications across multiple browsers, for desktops, tablets and phones
• Use of web-side frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone.js, Ember.js, particularly with regard to Single Page Application development.
• Interfacing to server-side services, ideally also with some knowledge of how a server system would be implemented (whether that be node.js or ASP.NET MVC)
• Coding with web-security in mind
• Knowledge of the Front-end build and release process
• Ability to encourage and mentor other developers

Backend Engineer
--------------------------------------------------------
We are looking for an exceptional developer to join our small, highly motivated team of developers delivering a scalable backend services platform.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing, designing and coding of core elements of the system to an exemplary standard
• Taking technical ownership of key areas of functionality

Candidate Profile:
The right candidate will be highly ambitious for success and have a strong mix of hands-on coding skills, good understanding of software architectures and great communications skills.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• B.S. in Computer Science and at least 1 year experience as a back end engineer
• Very high quality OO design and development skills
• Thrive in startup environment that is fast paced, fun and enriching.
• Experience in .NET (C#) or Node.js development
• Strong MSSQL skills.
• Good knowledge of software design patterns
• Server side development experience on windows server with good knowledge of how to get effective use out of .net framework
• Good understanding of continuous integration.
• Has a passion for quality
