Bioplate is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Accountant interested in becoming part of our growing accounting team. As a member of the Accounting & Finance team, the candidate will focus on monthly, quarterly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting. The position will provide financial guidance and business partnership to the Centers of Expertise (COEs) leadership teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Perform month-end and quarterly accounting activities.
- Partner with functional leads to develop detailed annual operating plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of operating spend, project spend, headcount and capital expenditure plans.
- Identify and resolve issues and provide alternative solutions to minimize risks on planning processes.
- Provide management decision support through ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Develop meaningful presentations of financial data and analyses to communicate financial results, recommendations and insights.
- Coach and mentor team members in team-based structure in areas of analytics and operating expense management
- Manages timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks, including audits, projects, special assignments, and administrative activities. Self-prioritizes and independently completes multiple tasks across the team and department. Demonstrates the ability to successfully meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Bachelor's in Finance, Bachelor's in Information Systems or Master of Business Administration preferred
- Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a relevant certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Medical Device or in the manufacturing industry preferred
- 2+ years of experience performing data analysis in support of external/internal auditing
- JDE system experience preferred
